Birth
There has been more than 20 years since the Archbishop of Lomé, Mgr. Philippe KPODZO, asked to the St John Congregation to come and found a priory in TOGO in order to strengthen catholic presence in this distressed country. Like many French speaking African countries, Togo is now under way of democratization following the colonial period. This process which has been undergoing with great difficulty has unfortunately resulted in an inexorable economic and social regression. In this difficult political context, we have been witnessing an economic blokade, an increasing in the number of unemployed and sects, and other calamities since the last decade. Consequently, the last NGO as well as countries that support Togo have been forced to leave the country. Aware of their great poverty, 5,000,000 Togolese appeal to countries that claim to globalisation for aid so they should give hope to their developing country.

In September 2001, 3 Brothers of the St John Congregation were sent to Togo in order to create the foundation in response to the Archbishop’s request..
